Welcome to the KVM Permanent Recruitment Blog. I plan to write a diary of my activities when setting up my new business as a permanent recruitment consultant. I am six months into the business and reaching a critical turning point. I have worked on several vacancies without success and I am trying to understand why I have been unsuccessful. At the moment the only thing I can think is the fact that I do not have an office. I am advertising the vacancies on the major job boards and following up all the applicants. I am not advertising on jobsinkent though, however the feedback I have had about the website is not that good. I have looked at the vacancies advertised on jobsinkent and they are mainly all from major recruitment consultancies so perhaps there is something in it. I will test the next vacancy on jobsinkent and see how I get on.

I am working on an IT vacancy at the moment, a Firmware Developer for a small IT company in Sevenoaks with offices in the UK and USA. One of my candidates had an interview on Monday, but was not experienced enough and I have another candidate going for interview on Thursday. Fingers crossed!!
