Excellent news, I have filled the IT vacancy with an amazing candidate who met all the client's expectations and more.
I have also confirmed the details for the launch of the website and this should be up and running by next week. www.kvmpermrecruitment.co.uk
On the website I will be advertising vacancies I work on and also will invite visitors to sign up for the bi-monthly newsletter I am producing. The newsletter contains information about updates to Legislation in the Recruitment industry and topical HR issues for example the increase in holiday entitlement and changes to the maternity benefits which take effect in April.

Welcome to the KVM Permanent Recruitment Blog. I plan to write a diary of my activities when setting up my new business as a permanent recruitment consultant. I am six months into the business and reaching a critical turning point. I have worked on several vacancies without success and I am trying to understand why I have been unsuccessful. At the moment the only thing I can think is the fact that I do not have an office. I am advertising the vacancies on the major job boards and following up all the applicants. I am not advertising on jobsinkent though, however the feedback I have had about the website is not that good. I have looked at the vacancies advertised on jobsinkent and they are mainly all from major recruitment consultancies so perhaps there is something in it. I will test the next vacancy on jobsinkent and see how I get on.

I am working on an IT vacancy at the moment, a Firmware Developer for a small IT company in Sevenoaks with offices in the UK and USA. One of my candidates had an interview on Monday, but was not experienced enough and I have another candidate going for interview on Thursday. Fingers crossed!!
